PRIDE MONTH - BOOK RECS
Recs for all year
I truly believe in reading queer all year. But as it’s Pride Month, I thought I’d do a post with all the books I’d recommend to a friend.
Of course, reading isn’t the only form of support. Do show up for the LGBTQIA+ community any way you can - it is really needed right now.
However, I am an author, so books is what you’re getting in this post.
I review all the books I love on my personal blog - my full review is therefore linked for each title (where you’ll find the purchase links).
I’m listing the rep in each book along with genre, for ease of selection.
Bible Story Retelling (about bi guys)
~ I love the way this highlights an actual LGBTQIA+ Bible story. Written by a drag queen.
Caution: it’s not a romance (no HEA).
A Little Light Mischief by Cat Sebastian
Regency Romance Novella (F/F)
~ A spinster vicar's daughter with a terrible past is now a companion.
Him by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Ice Hockey Romance (M/M)
~ A very popular choice. But it’s full of sweetness, yearning and banter.
The King of Halloween by Ellen Mint
Halloween Romance (M/M)
~ Autumn vibes are supplied in delicious golden abundance. Not scary!
The Girl From The Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag
YA Romance (F/F)
~ A graphic novel that’s super cute with beautiful images.
Awakening in Sapphire by Jonathan Hawker
(I weirdly can’t locate my blog review, so this is a GR link)
Futuristic Arthurian fantasy (M/M)
~ A proper "I'd die for him."
Wood and Wonders by Duckie Mack
Adorkable Romance (non-binary + gay male)
~ I actually love all Duckie Mack books. Very sweet yet steamy tales with dorky characters.
Polyamorous Romance (M/M/M incl. ace rep)
~ Two young male professionals plus a college guy
Sports Dads Romance (M/M with a bi-awakening)
~ A heart-wrenching, sweet and little bit steamy book of gorgeousness.
The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite
Historical Romance (F/F)
~ Excellent historical accuracy with a bit of fight against the patriarchy!
That should give you some good ideas, for a start. But there are many more book recs on my blog.
Always in love and light,
TL
